The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.9 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They blew past Great Plains Lutheran 46-6 at home. The result was nothing new for Platte/Geddes, who have now won three contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Platte/Geddes' win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Platte/Geddes will take on Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy is ranked 13th, while Platte/Geddes is ranked sixth). Great Plains Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
