Basketball Recap: Webster Takes a Loss

Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 60-49 to the Grove Ridgerunners. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 48-46 to the Ridgerunners when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Webster lost, don't look at Terrance Franklin. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Franklin has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 1-3 otherwise.

Webster's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Webster will head out to square off against Okmulgee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Grove and Oologah will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
