Volleyball Recap: Hanks Takes a Loss

Hanks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canutillo Eagles. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Hanks' offense was headlined by Lha Swift and Casey Saenz, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Ariana Guillen and her six assists.

Hanks' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Canutillo, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Hanks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Mansfield Timberview on the 16th. As for Canutillo, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Creekview on the 16th.
