Lakeview will challenge Poland Seminary at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lakeview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Lakeview took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Girard 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lakeview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Lantz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Lantz posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Brandon Toot also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Poland Seminary strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Salem 15-5. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly ten runs.

Poland Seminary's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lakeview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Lakeview couldn't quite get it done against Poland Seminary in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-4. Can Lakeview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
