Basketball Recap: Wilson Victorious

Wilson hadn't done well against Newfane recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lakemen managed a 51-45 victory over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Lakemen in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Newfane's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Zachery and Kasey Wheat. Zachery posted nine points in addition to eight steals and five boards, while Wheat went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points and six rebounds. Wheat is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Mac Capen was another key player, putting up five points and six boards.

Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Newfane, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
