Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Riverside

The Mountain View Lobos will take on the Riverside Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Mountain View fell victim to San Elizario and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Riverside came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Clint 2-1.

Riverside's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Mountain View skirted past Riverside 1-0 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Rangers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
