Softball Recap: Antwerp Comes Up Short

Antwerp fell victim to Tinora and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Archers in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

Alia Clem spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Antwerp's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Tinora, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.

Antwerp wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-5 victory against Lincolnview on the 13th. As for Tinora, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against Patrick Henry on the 12th.
