Baseball Recap: Poth Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poth can now relate to. They fell just short of the Industrial Cobras by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Cobras recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Major Luna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Poth's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Industrial, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-8.

While Poth had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
