Palm Desert piles up the points against Riverside Prep

The Palm Desert Aztecs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Riverside Prep 108-51 on the road. That 108-51 margin sets a new team best for Palm Desert this season.

Coby Christensen was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with four steals. The match was Christensen 's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Wil Wilson , who scored 21 points along with three steals.

Despite the loss, Riverside Prep still got an impressive performance from Raoul Churchill, who scored 22 points.

The win was the fifth in a row for Palm Desert, bringing their record for this year to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Riverside Prep, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-8.

Palm Desert will take on West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Palm Desert is ranked 233rd). Riverside Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Los Altos at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th.
