For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Gilbert and North Polk meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Tigers never let the Comets get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.

The win got Gilbert back to even at 3-3. As for North Polk, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Gilbert beat the Comets by a score of 1-0 later that day.
