Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic Starts Season with Victory Against Heritage Academy

Seton Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Heritage Academy Heroes to the tune of 95-23. The Sentinels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Heroes, too.

Seton Catholic had a senior duo take command as Kj Fauske went 10-for-21 on his way to 24 points and four steals and Damien Howard shot 67% from the field en route to 18 points and five steals. Ryan Morris was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Seton Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Seton Catholic is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Yuma Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Chandler Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
