Basketball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 58-37 to the Urbana Hawks. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Zizi Etolue, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards for Urbana. Etolue is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Mackenna Patterson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Middletown's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Urbana, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Middletown will be playing at home against Walkersville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Urbana, they will head out to take on Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Urbana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
