Baseball Game Preview: Warren East Raiders vs. Henderson County Colonels

The Warren East Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Henderson County Colonels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Henderson County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren East, who comes in off a win.

Warren East can't be too worried about heading out to take on Henderson County: they just beat Logan County at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Raiders never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Warren East got a great performance from Brooks Vincent as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Vincent has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on William Alexander, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. He has become a key player for Warren East: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brenden Bratcher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Henderson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Castle, falling 12-2.

Tucker Siewert was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maxton Meadows, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Henderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Warren East, their record is now 11-17.
