Baseball Recap: Mira Costa's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 14

Mira Costa barely beat Loyola the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Cubs 11-0 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Mira Costa's 14th in a row) raised their record to 16-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Loyola, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-5.
