Basketball Game Preview: Sanborn Regional Indians vs. Pembroke Spartans

The Sanborn Regional Indians will face off against the Pembroke Spartans on Sunday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sanborn Regional comes in on eight and Pembroke on five.

Sanborn Regional is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Oyster River by a score of 69-59. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten the Bobcats on their court since January 19, 2022.

Meanwhile, Pembroke faced Pelham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Pembroke beat Pelham by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 57-42.

Pembroke's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Sanborn Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.

Sanborn Regional came up short against Pembroke in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 76-64. Can Sanborn Regional avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
