Baseball Recap: Bellevue West Falls Short Against Ranked Skutt Catholic

Bellevue West faced Skutt Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Thunderbirds fell 3-0 to the SkyHawks. The game marked the first time this season in which the Thunderbirds were not able to get on the board.

Bellevue West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Muller, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Bellevue West's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Skutt Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Bellevue West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Gretna East on the 7th. As for Skutt Catholic, they will challenge Nebraska City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
