Baseball Recap: North Forsyth Vikings vs. Reidsville Rams

North Forsyth had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-11 to make it seven. They came up short against the Reidsville Rams, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Wednesday.

North Forsyth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rene Arredondo, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Reidsville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games.

On Reidsville's side, Carson Robertson and Christian Lockamy did most of the damage at the plate: Robertson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Lockamy got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave Robertson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Cobb, who earned one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.

Coming up, North Forsyth will head out on the road to take on Morehead at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Reidsville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-5 win against Voyager Academy on the 18th.
