Basketball Recap: Santa Teresa Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Santa Teresa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with an 86-73 victory over the Branham Bruins on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 83-77 back in December of 2024.

Branham lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aiden - Joseph Vietvu, who went 5 of 7 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Wells, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points.

Santa Teresa's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.5 points per game. As for Branham, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Santa Teresa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-56 defeat against Pioneer on the 24th. Branham has also already played their next game, a 64-60 loss against Lynbrook on the 18th.
