Baseball Game Preview: Ramona Rams vs. Hillcrest Trojans

The Ramona Rams are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Hillcrest Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ramona is headed out to face Hillcrest after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past JW North 2-0.

Isaac Torres looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Ramona's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Avina, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest got the win against JW North on Wednesday by a conclusive 13-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.
