Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DeSoto Central). They put the hurt on the Oxford Chargers with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday. The Jaguars not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024.

The victory got DeSoto Central back to even at 7-7. As for Oxford, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as DeSoto Central Jaguars challenge Arlington Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Arlington has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Oxford, they will venture away from home to face off against Collierville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Collierville will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Oxford surely won't give up without a fight.
