Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pace Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Marist War Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Pace Academy lost, don't look at Gabby Emch. Despite the final result, she had 29 digs and five assists. Zoe Taylor was another key player, getting 13 digs and one assist.

Pace Academy's loss dropped their record down to 35-8. As for Marist, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-6.

As of now, neither Pace Academy nor the War Eagles have any future games scheduled.
