Volleyball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom lost against East Burke two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 3-2.

Freedom actually scored more points across those five sets (107-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12.

Kaitlyn Hagmann paced Freedom's offense, picking up 31 kills. Hagmann got some help from Camryn Warlick and her 43 assists. Warlick was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for East Burke, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Freedom wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against West Caldwell on the 27th. As for East Burke, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Patton on the 26th.
