Spotswood came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Rockbridge County Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-0 back in April.

Spotswood pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rockbridge County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Spotswood will take on Turner Ashby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Trailblazers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rockbridge County, they will face off against Parry McCluer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
