Softball Recap: Cedar Creek Comes Up Short

Cedar Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 33-16 to the Anderson Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 back in March.

T Overall led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. A Mata was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Cedar Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Anderson, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cedar Creek will challenge rival Navarro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Anderson is set to square off against their familiar foe McCallum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
