Basketball Game Preview: Sweet Springs Greyhounds vs. Leeton Bulldogs

The Sweet Springs Greyhounds and the Leeton Bulldogs will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sweet Springs will head into Friday's matchup out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 53-21 loss at the hands of Santa Fe. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Chiefs are ranked 169th).

Meanwhile, Leeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Harrisonville 48-19.

Sweet Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Leeton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Sweet Springs took a serious blow against Leeton in their previous meeting back in February of 2018, falling 68-33. Can Sweet Springs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
