Baseball Recap: Greendale Comes Up Short

Greendale extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-5. They came up short against the Waukesha North Northstars, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

As for Waukesha North, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. The result was nothing new for the Northstars, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Waukesha North's part, Caleb Mosley made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Mosley has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Waukesha North let Chase Muchow and Tyler Flemming run wild. Muchow went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Flemming got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Muchow is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Tyler Schettler was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Coming up, Greendale will challenge Martin Luther at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waukesha North, they will head out to challenge Nicolet at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
