Baseball Recap: Torrance Tartars vs. West Warriors
Torrance waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the West Warriors. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-0 victory on Wednesday.
River Martinez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Noriyoshi Mori was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

Torrance's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. As for West, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
