Soccer Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rochelle on Thursday, Freeport came back down to earth. The Pretzels came up short against the DeKalb Barbs on Saturday, falling 5-1. Freeport haven't had much luck with DeKalb recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Freeport's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for DeKalb, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeport will challenge Hononegah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeKalb, they will square off against Waubonsie Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
