Franklin is 7-1 against Valley View since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wildcats will host the Spartans at 12:00 p.m. Franklin is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Franklin came up short against Carlisle and fell 4-1.

Franklin saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Monk, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley View). They blew past Tri-County North 15-5 on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Valley View, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Franklin came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley View when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 11-10. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
