Football Recap: Northern Lebanon Falls Despite Big Games from Ryan Clemmer and Bryan Mitzel

Northern Lebanon blew Daniel Boone out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Daniel Boone got their revenge. The Vikings fell just short of the Blazers by a score of 26-23. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Northern Lebanon's loss came despite strong showings from Bryan Mitzel and Ryan Clemmer. Mitzel threw for 199 yards and one touchdown, while Clemmer picked up 85 receiving yards.

Even if they lost, Northern Lebanon's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Kaleb Barr with two. Bryce Yocum was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making ten total tackles, and defending one pass.

Northern Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Daniel Boone, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Looking ahead, Northern Lebanon will face off against Eastern Lebanon County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Daniel Boone, they will take on Twin Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 8.1 points per game this season, so the Blazers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
