Shelton's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Hamden Dragons. The win continues a trend for the Gaels in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won six in a row.

Shelton let Isabella Rossetti and Chayse Dellarocco run wild. Rossetti went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Dellarocco got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run. That's the most stolen bases Rossetti has posted since back in April of 2025. Mila Rossetti was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Shelton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamden struck out 12 times.

Shelton's record is now 2-6-1. As for Hamden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Shelton will be playing in front of their home fans against Lauralton Hall at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hamden, they will host Hand at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.88 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
