It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cherokee Trail Cougars had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 47-39 victory over the Mustangs. Winning may never get old, but Cherokee Trail sure is getting used to it with their 16th in a row.
Delainey Miller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Gibbs, who scored 11 points.
Cherokee Trail's victory bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Mullen, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
Cherokee Trail is on the road again on Thursday and plays Valor Christian at 5:45 p.m. on March 7th. Valor Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 698 points over their last ten games. Mullen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
