Softball Recap: Ripley Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ripley can now relate to. They fell 8-3 to the West Lauderdale Knights on Thursday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ripley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Edwards, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for West Lauderdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season.

While Ripley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
