Baseball Recap: Wayne Blue Devils vs. Thurston-Cuming County
Wayne came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Thurston-Cuming County a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Gavin Redden, who gave up just five hits to keep Thurston-Cuming County off the board. Redden has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
