Baseball Recap: Cedarville Comes Up Short

Cedarville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Greeneview Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 last Monday.

Cedarville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Creeden, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Wyatt Percival also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cedarville's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Greeneview, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedarville will welcome Fairbanks at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greeneview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triad at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
