Baseball Recap: J.L. Mann Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

J.L. Mann won the last time they faced Christ Church Episcopal and things went their way on Friday too. The Patriots walked away with a 10-5 win over the Cavaliers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Josh Carlson looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Griffin King, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

J.L. Mann's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

J.L. Mann does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ Church Episcopal, they will take on Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight.
