Baseball Recap: Creekview Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Creekview waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the White Longhorns. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since February 28th.

Sam Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (three). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Perez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Landberg, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Ryan Silva was another, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Creekview's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for White, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12-1.

Coming up, Creekview will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wakeland at 7:30 p.m. As for White, they will head out to challenge Eagle Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
