Meanwhile, Hopatcong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 54-14 loss at the hands of Roxbury.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lenape Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Lenape Valley against Hopatcong when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 53-26 win. Will Lenape Valley repeat their success, or does Hopatcong have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
