Basketball Recap: Eustace Takes a Loss

Eustace lost to Mineola back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs were outmatched by the Yellowjackets and fell 65-22. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-8.

Eli Griffin was Eustace's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Ethan Gallet held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Eustace has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Mineola, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eustace will challenge Grand Saline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mineola, they will face off against Hawkins at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
