Yreka picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They skirted past the Portola Tigers 78-75. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Portola lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Connor Sheridan, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. Sheridan has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 18 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Magnus Berg, who went 6 for 12 en route to 22 points.

Yreka has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Portola, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Yreka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-36 defeat against University Prep on the 14th. As for Portola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-45 victory against Williams on the 14th.
