Softball Recap: Shenango Has No Trouble Against South Side

While Shenango put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for South Side. The Shenango Wildcats were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the South Side Rams. The Wildcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024.

South Side's batters probably weren't too happy with Kennedi Lynn, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Lynn.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zoe Offie, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emma Herb, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Shenango back to even at 2-2. As for South Side, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenango will challenge Ellwood City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Side, they will square off against Carlynton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Side is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
