Baseball Recap: Centennial Triumphs

Centennial came out on top against Arcadia on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Coyotes took their game against the Titans 6-3. The win continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Blake Baehr was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Centennial is 2-1 when Baehr posts one or more home runs, but 7-10-2 otherwise. Xavier Escontrias was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Centennial's record now sits at 9-11-2. As for Arcadia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will square off against Youngker at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Coyotes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roughriders have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Arcadia, they will take on Mesquite at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
