Volleyball Game Preview: Jones County Coyotes vs. Stanley County Buffalos

The Jones County Coyotes will head out to challenge the Stanley County Buffalos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones County will be strutting in after a victory while Stanley County will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Jones County made easy work of Colome and carried off a 3-0 win. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Jones County was: they took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Stanley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Highmore/Harrold, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Highmore/Harrold scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.

Jones County's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Stanley County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.

Jones County might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Stanley County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Coyotes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
