Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gwynn Park couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Lackey Chargers by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Ernasto Rodriquez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Richard Cambell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Gwynn Park's defeat dropped their record down to 18-2. As for Lackey, they moved to 7-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Gwynn Park nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
