Baseball Recap: Dixie Falls Short Against Ranked American Fork

Dixie faced American Fork in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Dixie came up short against American Fork, falling 9-3. The Flyers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Carson Hunt was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Carter Turley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Dixie's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for American Fork, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Dixie has already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against Coronado on the 21st. As for American Fork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Arbor View on the 21st.
