Softball Game Preview: Lakeside Eagles vs. Kettle Falls Bulldogs

The Lakeside Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Kettle Falls Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Lakeside got the win against Northport by a conclusive 18-7. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Kettle Falls entered their tilt with Newport on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 10-5.

Lakeside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Kettle Falls, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
