Basketball Recap: Faribault Takes a Loss

If Faribault was feeling good fresh off their 75-41 takedown of Kasson-Mantorville last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Faribault Falcons took a hard 67-53 fall against the Stewartville Tigers on Saturday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 81-76.

Faribault's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Stewartville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Faribault does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stewartville, they will head out to take on Byron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Stewartville likes a good challenge.
