Football Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Columbia lost against Carrollton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 41-7 loss at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Trojans are ranked third).

Czar Daniels threw for 202 yards and one touchdown. Karter Harper was his top target, picking up 86 receiving yards. On the ground, Nick Hill rushed for 53 yards.

Cameron Wood went supernova For Carrollton., rushing for 136 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Peyton Zachary also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carrollton, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Douglass at 8:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Carrollton, they will square off against Rome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
