Volleyball Game Preview: Gertz-Ressler Pumas vs. USC Hybrid Trojans

The Gertz-Ressler Pumas will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the USC Hybrid Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Gertz-Ressler is leaving town to face USC Hybrid after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Gertz-Ressler took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Neuwirth Leadership Academy on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, USC Hybrid had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to University Prep Value.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-15.

Gertz-Ressler might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from USC Hybrid in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Gertz-Ressler avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
