Football Recap: Plainfield Skates Past New Brunswick with Ease

Plainfield won the last time they faced New Brunswick and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals claimed a resounding 56-6 win over the Zebra. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Zebra are ranked 312th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Plainfield back to even at 1-1. As for New Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Plainfield will welcome Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for New Brunswick, they will venture away from home to take on Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
